"There is a great spectacle, and that is the sea. There is a greater spectacle than the sea, and that is the sky. There is yet a greater spectacle than the sky,
and that is the interior of the soul." - Victor Hugo
This day-long retreat, called the Day of Mindfulness, is open and appropriate for beginners and veteran meditators. We will experience indfulness sitting, walking, and loving-kindness meditations, as well as mindful yoga. The meditations will have enough guidance to allow people of all levels of meditation practice to attend. This retreat will be held in silence, allowing one to develop concentration and insight. While there are many benefits of silence and extended practice, it can bring us into contact with the sharper edges of our experience.  If you are in the midst of deep emotional difficulties such as post-traumatic stress I encourage you to attend a day of mindfulness retreat after you have resolved some of the difficult issues. If you would like to discuss whether it is appropriate to attend this retreat, please contact us.  We are happy to help you decide. The cost is $85.00. The dates for 2015 are
  • March 7th, 2015 from 10 am - 4 pm
  • May 16th, 2015 from 10am - 4pm
  • August 15th, 2015 from 10am - 4pm
  • October 17, 2015 from 10am - 4pm
All training, courses, retreats and counseling are lead by Micki Fine M.Ed., L.P.C., the only certified mindfulness teacher in the Houston Metro area.

Mindful Living is located at 3701 Kirby Drive, Suite 890, Houston, Texas 77098 in the Baylor Family Medicine building between the S.W. Freeway and Richmond Ave.
